Victor Chigozie Kalu, known professionally as hoodboyvictor, makes records that take their time. Melodic, patient and built around a voice that sits close to the mic, his catalogue trades urgency for atmosphere — songs that reveal a little more on the fifth listen than the first.

He is the first artist signed to Hoodelite Records and the through-line of everything the label puts out. Bad 4 U introduced the sound; Velvet refined it. Songwriting credits appear under his legal name.

Artist and writer at Hoodelite Records (H.E.R), he also serves as CEO of HoodElite Records Limited — steering the label's direction while writing and performing its records.
